SCA Biorepair Technology is a secretion produced by the Cryptomphalus aspersa snail that is refined and purified through a patented process to pharmacological standards. What Are Growth Factors?

How Does SCA Biorepair Technology Work?

Growth factors in SCA Biorepair Technology help support fibroblasts which are responsible for the production of collagen and elastin and the organization and optimization of the extracellular matrix (ECM). Fibroblasts also help the cells in your skin recover from injury from the sun or other external aggressors. Much like growth factors, fibroblasts can age. However, when using SCA Biorepair on photodamaged skin or mature skin, fibroblasts proliferate at a much higher rate. This can help promote healing after photodamage or aesthetic procedures.

The antioxidant properties in SCA also help to inhibit free radical damage to the skin while hyaluronic acid helps to boost skin’s moisture levels.

More About Our Snails

SCA Biorepair Technology is produced from the secretion of the Cryptomphalus aspersa snail through a non-harmful patented process. The snails live in a snail sanctuary in the northern coast of Spain where they feed on a diet of lettuce and carrots.

This specific species of snail was observed by scientists to be able to heal its skin from burns and injury in less than 48 hours. The healing power of C. aspersa snail secretion was first shown to be clinically effective on humans with cases of radiation dermatitis following the Chernobyl nuclear disaster in 1986. Burn victims experienced rapid recovery with this special snail secretion. Through this discovery, scientists found and patented a process to harness the benefits of SCA for cosmetics skincare benefits.

How is SCA different from other snail secretions?
