This serum is ideal for anyone who is new to retinol. The side effects when you first start using retinol is what has scared me. Even though this is the mild version, I still wanted to start out slow. So, I started using 2x a week and worked my way up. 2 pumps is perfect for my face and neck. I make sure to avoid my eyelids because the first time I used it I was not thinking and I definitely felt the burn the next morning. This is a great retriderm serum. It contains .5% retinol. It’s very gentle on the skin and after using for a bit I have already noticed reduced appearance of fine lines. It leaves my skin feeling smooth and looking bright.

I did experience a slight stingy sensation at first, I think it’s because I have sensitive skin and but over time that has gone away.
